‘Geostorm’ Movie update: Jim Sturgess to play the role of Max: plot, cast, release date revealed

The American science fiction disaster action thriller film ''Geostorm'' by Dean Devlin will be released on Oct 20., 2017 in the US. This Katheryn Winnick and Gerard Butler starrer movie is expected to do well in the box office. Jim Sturgess had joined the cast to play the role of Max, who is the younger brother of the satellite designer Butler.

Strugess's role is pivotal to the movie because he will be a part of the mission ''to save the world from an epic man-made storm when the world's climate-controlling satellites malfunction.'' The Wrap talked about the storyline of the movie where Strugess will plot to kill the president Palmer (played by Andy García).

Since Strugess also has her girlfriend in the movie, played by Abbie Cornish, the fans can expect some romance on screen. Cornish plays the role of Agent Sarah and has displayed female power in the movie. Alexandra Lara will play the role of Ute Fassbinder.

Cornish was dressed for her role as a Secret Service agent and she looked stunning in black trousers, tailored black blazer and white blouse. The details of this upcoming movie is uploaded on Comingsoon.net.

A part of this movie was filmed in NASA Facility in New Orleans in Nov. 2014 and Jan. 2015. Project casting has the details about the same. Since the movie is in post-production now, the wait will continue till it is released in theatres about the revenues it will earn.

The shooting of the movie is almost done and the post production work and marketing is going on. The script of this movie was written by the director Devlin and Kieran and Michele Mulroney too have worked in the script writing team. David Ellison and Dana Goldberg are producing this movie ''Geostorm'' via Skydance. Warner Bros. Pictures has the distribution right of this movie worldwide.

The movie was originally scheduled to be released in Jan. 2017, however according to Variety was pushed to Oct. 2017. Watch the reviews about this upcoming movie.
