"Body Say" artist Demi Lovato is under fire once again on social media. Her recent Snapchat clip received tons of backlash from those who believe that Zika Virus is no joke.

Last Friday, Lovato's mother Dianna Hart was caught on Snapchat video saying, "Everybody down in Rio gonna get the Zika virus." The "Confident" singer then responded with laughter, according to E! Online. Shortly after, the pop sensation was criticized for being insensitive towards those who are affected by the outbreak, particularly those in Brazil.

The video was then deleted in the wake of the tremendous criticisms, however the folks who are not happy with Snapchat video had started the #DemiLovatoIsOverParty trend. Fans, in turn, used the hashtag to express their disappointment at the young singer's social media clip.

The following day, Demi Lovato wrote on Twitter, "In no way did I mean to offend anyone last night. I was laughing at how southern my mom sounded, not the issue at hand. Deepest apologies."

She also wrote afterwards, "If you watch everything I do, you're still a fan.. I ain't goin nowhere b---hes."

This is not the first time that the singer had set Twitterscape on fire. In June, Lovato posted a since-deleted meme suggesting that fellow singer Ariana Grande was "a poor man's Mariah Carey," according to MTV News.

Though the meme itself may already seem controversial, it probably was not an issue except that the singer suggested that the meme was rather quite the opposite. The "Cool for the summer" singer then faced overwhelming backlash, forcing her to decide to quit both Twitter and Instagram at the same time.

She tweeted a couple of strong goodbyes before she quit the two social media platforms. She also wrote, "But why do people actually give a f--k what I say?? like if you don't care the gtfo haha

She then urged her fans to follow her on Snapchat. At that time, she said she liked Snapchat better because she did not have to see what some of the followers might have to say.

Apparently, not only is Demi Lovato back on Twitter and Instagram, she has also sparked outrage through her Snapchat video. Whether she quits Twitter again or not, it is going to take some time before the issue goes away.
