The entire Hollywood, California's Dolby Theatre jumped for joy as the Bad Romance singer Lady Gaga went old-school and this really worked. She performed the Sound of Music onstage during the 87th Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 22, Sunday.

No eye-popping theatrics, no male alter egos, and no blood-spurting burst out of the stage as she performed during the Grammy's and Oscar's awards night. She set aside wearing seductive outfit and dancing as well. She powered through the medley "Do Re Mi", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", "Edelweiss", and "The Sound of Music" which proved that she really can sing. This dazzling performance earned a hug from Julie Andrews, and a standing ovation. Best of all, this is a realization of her tremendous voice and ability to go beyond what she can do.

"The Sound of Music's" 50th anniversary tribute was also the night of Gaga. She successfully sang the medley making her worthy of the praises and warm hug of Julie Andrews. It proved the she had accepted the pop star who used to show up in an odd style, according to Billboard.

Her performance at the Oscar's was all about The Sound of Music, and not about Gaga's oddity, persona and ideas regarding modern celebrity. This was stated in the Time's report which uplifted her singing career.

She ceded her attention to a classic performance which is a great step forward. Gaga has recently changed her outlook in the previous months. She started to reveal that she was definitely a trained musician who started as a singer-songwriter.

Gaga is a big winner of the Academy Awards and she pursued leaning on music genre that everybody wants.  She presented it in a refreshing, straightforward way. Right now, she has started to untie a career from the last fall of ARTPOP's artRave tour.
