Cesaro is currently having a good run following a shoot promo in a post-WWE draft interview. According to the latest rumors, Cesaro will likely end up on SmackDown Live as the conclusion of his current storyline based on his real-life frustrations.
The Swiss Superman expressed his interest in being drafted to SmackDown because it is more of a wrestling show during an interview before the WWE Draft last July 19. However, he ended up being drafted to Monday Night Raw and it led to the best promo of his career.
Cesaro blasted the WWE management because Raw is all about the authority figures and not the wrestlers. It was confirmed by Dave Meltzer that the promo was unscripted and not work. As expected, it got the former United States champion in trouble with top officials.
But the reality is he is getting a push just based on the outcomes of his matches in the past several weeks. He has defeated Sheamus two times in a row while getting a U.S. title shot in the main event of last week's Raw.
Even though he was unable to become the new U.S. champion, Cesaro did not lose cleanly to Rusev with Sheamus interfering in the match. He will likely face The Celtic Warrior at SummerSlam to end their mini-feud.
According to Daily Wrestling News, Cesaro's current storyline will end by him getting traded to SmackDown. It is still unclear when it will happen but SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan put him over which is a big thing.
SmackDown is lacking star power but it can all change if a trade with Raw is going to happen. There were several reports last week that the WWE did not like the current rosters for both brands and changes are expected soon.
A trade will likely happen after SummerSlam with stars such as Cesaro, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens being involved. One of the suggested trades is Orton and Alberto Del Rio getting dealt to Raw in exchange for Owens, Cesaro and Darren Young, per The Inquisitr.
However, it should be noted that these are just rumors at the moment. The WWE frequently changes their plans especially if it gets leaked online. Nevertheless, Cesaro is finally getting something that he deserves.
