In her mid-50s, Madonna continues to make waves with her Rebel Heart Tour, while battling former husband Guy Ritchie over custody of son Rocco.
Fans of the “Material Girl” singer would get to know more about Madonna before she became famous through a documentary that features her romantic relationship with a former lover, singer Dan Gilroy. Page Six reported that the docu would feature personal letters and recordings made by Madonna with Gilroy in bed.
Other than the love letters, the docu also features bedroom talk between the lovers. The private tapes and love letters were turned over by Gilroy to docu director Guy Guido. Gilroy’s relationship with Madonna run for 18 months, beginning in 1979.
That period is also the focus of the docu, titled “Emmy and the Breakfast Club” when she, Gilroy and his brother, Ed Gilroy, lived in an abandoned synagogue in Corona, Queens, from 1979 to 1982, reported Daily Mail.
Guido said the contents include very poetic letters from Madonna to Gilroy which expressed her feelings the struggles in their relationship. The docu does not have the approval of Madonna. The director hopes to finish the docu by Jan 2017.
Previous docus had been made about Madonna, such as this one below, a made-for TV docu for UK.
