Two days after Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang announced on Weibo his separation from wife Ma Rong on Weibo, his divorce application is starting to move.

China Daily reported on Tuesday that a Beijing court has accepted his application for a divorce. In his application, Wang sought full custody of their two children, a boy and a girl, and asked that Ma pay him child support until both children reach 18 years old.

He also sought to divide their wealth, including nine apartments – one is in Los Angeles – plus stocks and investments, two vehicles made up of a BMW and Bentley, jewelry, watches, handbags, clothes, financial products and insurance.

The actor accused his estranged wife, whom he married in 2010, of cheating on him with Song Zhe, his agent, hiding and transferring properties and hurting his family members. It seems the couple is the Chinese version of Hollywood couple Johnny Depp and Amber Heard who are also going through a bitter divorce, but minus the reports of violence between Deep and Heard.

It appears that public sympathy is with Wang, raised in Hebei Province, studied martial arts at age 8 in a Shaolin Temple and winner of a best leading actor award from the Golden Horse for his role in the 2003 movie ‘Blind Shaft.”

Strait Times reported that Song Zhe apologized to Wang on Weibo 30 minutes after the actor released a statement on Tuesday. The former agent later deleted his previous post. Shanghaiist reported that nude photos and videos of Ma Rong and Song Zhe have been circulated by netizens as proof there is cheating going on.
