The Undertaker has not appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell Match. According to the latest rumors, The Undertaker might be returning soon and he could be part of the SmackDown Live roster.
A recent photo of The Undertaker surfaced online showing him holding a walking stick that got a lot of people speculating about his future. Many fans believe that the 51-year-old wrestling legend needs a cane to walk and he might really be retired.
However, the fan that posted the photo on Instagram told Wrestling Inc. that The Undertaker did not own the cane. He also mentioned that The Deadman was just fascinated with it because it was a rattlesnake cane and posed like The Godfather.
It is also noted that The Undertaker's real-life wife, Michelle McCool, posted signs of different SmackDown superstars including Natalya, John Cena, Shane-O-Mac, Kane and Randy Orton. McCool and her daughters were present on this week's episode of SmackDown at ringside.
The Undertaker and his family live in the Austin area where SmackDown performed this week. But the speculation of the return of The Phenom just grew overnight because he went out to drink with Shane, who is the General Manager of SmackDown.
A fan also posted a photo of him with Shane-O-Mac and The Undertaker looking really cool. The Deadman has apparently dyed his hair black again which he usually does when he returns to wrestle. The photo of the cane and at the bar was two days apart which means The Undertaker is indeed returning.
There were several reports after WrestleMania that The Undertaker has retired and he had a falling out with Vince McMahon. However, the recent photo and tease by his wife points to the wrestling legend returning to SmackDown.
According to Cageside Seats, The Undertaker might make his return as soon as SummerSlam. However, it should be noted that these are just rumors and the WWE has not confirmed it.
