Song Hye-Kyo has a secret personality trait that even her most devoted fans may not know.

Song Hye-Kyu is immensely popular but no one knows about her selfless charity and volunteering. The actress does not like to draw attention to her altruistic work, thus many of her fans don't even know about her philanthropic side.

Song Hye-Kyo gained massive popularity after the success of "Descendants of the Sun." Ever since, she has become a media favorite and is often reported about in the news. Despite her popularity, not many people know that Song Hye-Kyo is a generous donator to a lot of foundations. After her phenomenal success, she has continued to donate huge sums of money for causes that she believes in. However, what her fans may not know is that other than selflessly contributing her wealth, she also spends a lot of her time doing volunteer work. But unlike other media personalities, she takes special care not to draw too much attention to either one of her charities, as reported by Inquisitr.

In a recent report, it was also noted that the famous star, along with professor Seo Kyung Deok from Sungshin University for women, donated 10,000 brochures about Korean independence to a village in Japan. These brochures have important historical information about the Korean site in Japan. The visitors who visit this site will be distributed these brochures so that they can know more about the Korean history and also its importance to the site, KPop Herald reported .

Even though this is certainly a noteworthy effort, this is not the first time that Song Hye-Kyo was associated with something so virtuous. She worked with professor Seo in New York as well, the same time last year, distributing brochures about South Korea's history and their fight for independence.

Song Hye-Kyo is not just distributing these informative brochures but also pays for its printing and other such expenses, working in close collaboration with the professor. She explains that it is very disheartening to never see Korean language brochures when she visits museums in other countries.

Despite her active involvement in altruistic work, even the most dedicated fans are not aware of this secret side of their favorite actress. She has been donating these brochures in several other countries apart from Japan and New York in United States, such as China. The Chinese officials were impressed by her selfless act of proactively representing her country internationally and believe that such efforts by famous celebrities can go a long way in cementing relations between South Korea and China.

Moreover, she has also been enthusiastically volunteering in support of children and animal group rights for more than 10 years.
