Actress Amber Heard has dropped the restraining order against Johnny Depp as the former couple enters an out-of-court divorce settlement. The couple had been married for 15 months prior to the divorce proceedings.

The actress' lawyers Samantha Spector filed the paperwork in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 15, Monday, to withdraw her request for a restraining order against Depp, Deadline reported. Heard and Depp settled their divorce out of Court on Aug. 16, Tuesday, whereby the actress received a $7.6 million settlement.

The 30-year-old actress revealed that she will donate the money to charity. The $7.6 million settlement will be divided between the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union, to further the advocacy and campaign domestic violence against women and children.

"As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves," Telegraph quoted Heard as saying. "Hopefully, this experience results in a positive change in the lives of people who need it the most."

Heard accused Depp of domestic violence. In a court hearing in May, she appeared with bruises on her face. The actor has since denied the allegations. On the other hand, Depp accused Heard of cheating on him with actor Billy Bob Thornton, who also starred in "London Fields". Thornton denied this, saying the only time he interacted with Heard was during a dinner with the cast.

Heard first met Depp, 53, on the set of the 2011 film "The Rum Diary" and got married on February 2015.

In a joint statement, the former couple described their relationship as "intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love."

"Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm," the parties' joint statement said.

In the meantime, Heard is in the United Kingdom filming "Justice League". Depp's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" hits theatres in May 26, 2017.
