PlayStation 4 slim Release: Leaks reveal more about console

PlayStation 4 Neo is the slimmer version of PlaySation 4, but with several upgrades.

PlayStation 4 slim leaked images and videos suggest that it will come with accompanied by DualShock 4 controller. The fresh console is expected to arrive in early September, alongside the PlayStation Neo.

PS4 Slim, as the name suggests, will be a redesigned slimmer version of the PlayStation. Its accompanying gamepad controller will have a light bar at the front part above the touchpad, an update that is intended to enable a user see light notifications easily, Gamespot reported.

A Twitter user claimed to have had access to the new PS4 console and has since been leaking videos and images of it. The user revealed various leaks on the PS4 which included the new controller's battery life and, which, according to his revelations, is the same as that of the previous controller but interestingly lasts longer.

Shortman82 also said that the controller can be forced to communicate over the wired connection when plugged into the PS4. This, he added, can also be applied on the original PS4 console.

The existence of the PS4 slim was recently confirmed by Euro Gamer, when the publication visited the user's house to witness the console in action. Although Sony has not made an official announcement on the device, fans anticipate the device is to be unveiled in an upcoming event scheduled for Sept. 8.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that the powerful PlayStation 4 Neo will support 4K gaming with the aim of providing a better PSVR experience. It expected to ship with upgraded AMD APUs, which can deliver more power per watt, increasing performance and efficiency.

PS Neo will have an 8-core CPU clocked at 2.1GHz and an extended bandwidth of 218GB/s.  Its memory of 8GB will offer reliability, and the GPU will receive a bump of units between 18 compute units (CU) and 36 CUs.

Apparently, PlayStation Neo is expected to offer 4.14 TFLOPS of computing power, which is much higher compared to current PS4, which offers 1.84 TFLOPS. With the upcoming release of PS Neo, gamers can now get hot deals on the current PS4s since stores wish to clear stock before adding the new devices.

Some deals include the Newegg deal which offers a price of $370 to purchase the standard black PS4 which comes with "Far Cry Primal", "Fallout 4", and "No Man's Sky". Watch the clip below fore more:
