Apple iOS 9.3.5 solves huge security problems.

Apple has released iOS 9.3.5 that fixes a major susceptibility for iPhone users. The Cupertino-based tech giant has advised every iPhone user to install the update as soon as possible to avoid the exploit.

Hackers can spread malware through text messages with a link. In case a user clicks on the link, the hacker gains control to monitor the iPhone remotely, according to Mac World. Furthermore, the hacker can track the location of the smartphone, acquire copies of stored files, record calls even if they are made using apps with end-to-end encryption, and access the mic and camera.

iOS 9.3.5 is currently available for all users to install. iPhone owners can install the update through either software update or iTunes.

The most effective way of installing the latest update is over the air, besides being painlessly simple. Users should first ensure that they have a stable internet connection. Follow the steps below to install iOS 9.3.5 through software update:

1.      Go to Settings

2.      Click on General

3.      Click on Software Update

4.      Click on Download and Install

5.      Enter your Passcode if the iPhone asks for it

6.      Click on Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click on another Agree again.

7.      Click on Install Now to start updating.

8.      Just wait for the iPhone to finish updating, and you are good to go.  

In case the first method fails or there is limited storage space, iPhone users can update through iTunes, according to Apple official website. Here are easy steps to follow besides having a stable internet connection:

1.      Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.

2.      Connect the iPhone through a Lightning to USB cable.

3.      You should find a device icon located at the top-left corner of the iTunes. If there is no problem here, click on it.

4.      Click on Check for Update.

5.      Click on Download and Update.

6.      Click on Agree to the Terms and Conditions.

7.      Enter your Passcode if iTunes asks for it.

8.      Click on Continue.

9.      Wait for the process to complete and you are good to go.
