A long banner is displayed across the field during 'Champions For Charity' Football Match to honor the legendary racer, Michael Schumacher.

According to Formula 1 priest, Don Sergio Mantovani, Michael Schumacher is a fighter and says that he knows more about the legendary racer than he can say, but also admitting that he has not had a recent contact with former f1 champion.

Just recently, the world remembered and celebrated Michael Schumacher's F1 debut in Jordan, where he qualified seventh and began his stellar grand prix career. Since then, Schumacher won Spa-Francorchamps six times. The final win came in 2004 that became his seventh at world drivers' championship, not far from home.

This was back in the time when Schumacher raced for Ferrari, whose longstanding priest was Don Sergio Mantovani, a celebrated figure at the F1 paddock. Mantovani told Bild am Sonntag, a German newspaper, that Schumacher is a "hero" in Italy and all his fans still love him. He also added that he loved Ferrari and the Italians loved Schumacher for winning streak on the racer tracks, reported Wheels24.

Regardless of all the doubts about Schumacher's recovery and health condition, Mantovani revealed that he is a fighter. He also chided that even though Schumi believes in God, he didn't make time to visit the church every once in a while. Mantovani also claimed that he knows way more than he is willing to share, but he didn't have any contact with the Schumachers or the racer himself. For now, the Modena priest continues to pray for his wellbeing.

Some other distinguished personalities have also come forward with an update about the racer's health. According to Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari top boss, the legendary racer is responding well to the treatment but apart from that, there is no other information about his recovery, CNN reported.

Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, also talked with the media recently before a soccer game in honor of the fallen racer. However, she did not reveal much information. Kehm has always maintained that Schumacher family wants to keep things under the wraps and requests privacy. She also insists that any update from anyone, outside of the family members or herself, is untrue.

Despite the uncertainly and lack of information, the fans continue to pray for his well being and hope for his speedy recovery.
