The cast director Eran Creevy, Johnny Palmiero,Christina Hecke, Erdal Yildiz, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Nicholas Hoult and producer Kay Niessen attend the premiere of the film 'Collide' at DRIVE IN Kino on August 1, 2016 in Cologne, Germany.

While in the Philippines for the AsiaPOP Comicon 2016, "X-Men" star Nicholas Hoult was offered to eat the fermented duck egg locally called balut. This is almost customary in the country, which is home to boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Broadway diva Lea Salonga and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.

"Everyone is so welcoming," CNN Philippines quoted Hoult as saying during the AsiaPOP Comicon. "The food's been incredible."

However, Hoult squirmed when balut was described to him. He said, "That's' way too much description."

Aside from balut, Hoult revealed that he has eaten what he described as "pork and a lot of vinegar and fried pig intestine." The latter is locally called isaw.

It was in 2011 when Hoult first played Hank/Beast in "X-Men: First Class." In 2014, the British actor reprised the role in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and recently for the third time in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Directed by Bryan Singer, "X-Men: Apocalypse" also starred James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique and Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse. The film was released on May 27.

In 2015, Hoult starred in "Mad Max: Fury Road" opposite Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. The film was directed by George Miller, who recently told Variety that a director is like a football coach in many ways.

Hoult will star in the action thriller film "Collide," which will be released on Oct. 30. Among his co-stars are Felity Jones, Anthony Hopkins, Nadia Hilker, Michael Epp, Marwan Kenzari, Johnny Palmiero, Ben Kingsley and Aleksandar Jovanovic.

Moreover, Hoult will star with Henry Cavill and Tommy Flanagan in the war drama film "Sand Castle." In 2017, Hoult will play J. D. Salinger in the biopic "Rebel in the Rye" opposite Sarah Paulson as Dorothy and Zoey Deutch.

On the small screen, Hoult will star in the mini-series "Watership Down" in 2017. He will play a character named Fiver.
