Park Hae-Jin and Kim Go-Eun star in the tvN drama 'Cheese in the Trap.'

South Korean actor Park Hae-Jin reveals why he decided to play Yoo Jung again in the movie adaptation of "Cheese in the Trap." In a recent interview, the 33-year-old actor opened up about portraying a young college student again.

In a sit-down interview with Korea's Maeil Business Newspaper, as cited by All Kpop, Park admitted that it was difficult for him to pick the same character again. However, he decided to accept it in light of his affection towards the 16-episode tvN drama.

"Honestly, after the drama ended, I did not want to do anything," Park revealed. "I experienced a rough patch [after the drama], but I still have lingering feelings toward the character named 'Yoo Jung.'"

In spite of the danger of being screwed over the same image, among many others, Park finally decided to star in the movie because of his affection towards the project and the character. The "My Love from the Star" actor then expressed his nervousness and worries in the project, stressing that he do not have much experience in films.

Nonetheless, Park seems to be determined to put forth a valiant effort, stating that he will showcase an entirely different and complete side of him through the upcoming movie. Park's character is described as an intelligent and successful college student, who subtly harbors a dark side to his personality.

He is sometimes cold and manipulative. He also experiences difficulty forming relationships with others on account of his instability that they are using him.

Opposite Park is actress Oh Yeon-Seo, Soompi reported. The "Come Back Mister" actress will play a persevering college student, Hong Seol, who struggles to figure out Yoo Jung's true intentions.

The upcoming "Cheese in the Trap" film concentrates on the life and relationships of a group of university students, especially the troublesome relationship between Hong Seol and Yoo Jung.

Though details of the live-action adaptation are being kept closely under wraps, Park did reveal a few enticing details into the proceedings of the eagerly anticipated movie. He said, "I know that the movie is currently underway with the aim of a global premiere. As soon as the director is chosen, the production will pick up steam."

"Cheese in the Trap" movie is expected to hit the movie theaters in Summer 2017. Check out drama below:
