The Kanye West-Taylor Swift battle continued even at the MTV VMA event during the former's few minutes' speech.
West's track "Famous" was playing at the background when he went at the stage for four minutes speech at the event. "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that b***h famous," the track played. "We came over in the same boat, now we're in the same bed," he said in his speech as quoted by Yahoo News not missing the chance to target the singer.
He said that Beyonce may have taken over "Famous" in terms of popularity, but that was "alright."
The rapper admitted that he always wanted "Beyonce to win." While saying this he referred to the 2009 awards where he intervened in the speech of Swift and said that Beyonce should be taken to gong home.
The main motive behind the "Famous" singer's attendance at the event was to premiere his new track "Fade". It was reported earlier that West would be given sufficient time to prepare for the stage, but he was given only four minutes for his purpose.
In those few minutes, the Yeezy rapper gave a brief description of the characters whose waxworks were featured in the video. He referred to the artwork of celebrities who were displayed naked in bed together.
"It was an expression on our now, our fame now, us on the inside of the inside of the TV. Asking me to put Anna Wintour next to Donald Trump," Kim Kardashian's better half said in his speech.
West did not forget to mention two more important characters of his life - one was his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, and his wife's ex-boyfriend Ray J. The singer also praised Kardashian for letting him deliver such a speech, which may not have been an acceptable speech for other wives. He called his wife "a G."
Swift, as reported by OK Magazine, said that she was not at all aware of West's intentions of referring her in his speech. "Last week 22 people were murdered in Chicago," Kanye said. "People come to me like 'take Taylor'. Like, bro, I love all y'all. That's why I called her," Kardashian shared a video on Snapchat where her husband agrees to his lyrics in a phone call.
