The HBO show 'Game of Thrones' is a TV adaptation of George RR Martin's book series.

Avid viewers of the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" have been eagerly awaiting for updates about the show's upcoming seventh season. Latest spoiler news tease of a potential new villain that may replace Ramsay Bolton as one of the series' big bad characters.

The sixth season of the HBO series featured several exciting and shocking story developments. One of these plotlines included the death of Iwan Rheon's villainous character Ramsay. Viewers saw how Jon Snow (Kit Harington), with Sansa's (Sophie Turner) help, has defeated Ramsay in battle. Rheon's character also succumbed to his death after being mauled by vicious dogs.

However, the show's upcoming Season 7 may potentially see the rise of a new threat. YouTube user Alt Shift X has shared a video that highlighted the possibility of Euron "Crow's Eye" Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) becoming the next "Game of Thrones" villain, Time reported. In the video, the YouTuber commented on a potential link between the said character, the Faceless Men and Jaqen H'ghar (Tom Wlaschiha).

Viewers may recall that Euron pushed Balon Greyjoy to his death. However, in George RR Martin's novels "A Song of Ice and Fire," Euron appears to have contracted the Faceless Men to kill Balon for him. Some readers may have even speculated that Euron may have contacted Jaqen himself since the said character is believed to the "generic identity of a Faceless Man," as indicated in the same report.

The said YouTuber further stated that Euron may be hatching a plan to win against Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and her fleet of ships. Alt Shift X made mention of an excerpt from Martin's upcoming book "The Winds of Winter" that hinted of the said character's "sadistic plan" for a naval battle that may end in a huge sacrifice.

At this time, it still unclear if the HBO series' showrunners will follow the same storyline as Martin's upcoming new book. The TV show's storyline for Euron may also proceed in a different direction in "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

Meanwhile, filming preparations are already ongoing in the show's Ireland filming location, Winter is Coming reported. The series' production team is said to be constructing Winterfell's filming set at the village of Moneyglass.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere in summer 2017.
