Will Barry and Iris remain together in "The Flash" Season 3?

"The Flash" season 3 will see a shift in Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West's (Candice Patton) budding romantic relationship.

In the finale for season 2, it was confirmed that Barry decided to alter the timeline so he could have the chance to reunite with his father and mother.

Iris supported Barry's decision to do so and said that he deserves to have that opportunity to reunite with them.

However, the Flashpoint storyline will have some obvious implications, and Barry and Iris's relationship will also be affected by it.

While speaking with TV Line, executive producer Aaron Helbing said that Barry will approach Iris in a different way because they will be living in a different timeline.

"Now he has to approach her as a girl he had a schoolboy crush on for 14 years," he said.

Meanwhile, everything else will also be affected by the Flashpoint. For instance, recurring guest star Tom Felton's character will be working at the CCPD to make Barry's life even more miserable than it already is.

However, the Flashpoint storyline won't take place throughout the entire season because Barry aka The Flash will definitely be able to resolve it.

In other news, a new teaser for "The Flash" season 3 was recently dropped online by The CW. The clip showed Reverse-Flash warning Barry on the changes he could expect with the change in timeline he decided to do.

"Your original life, your friends, your family will fade away," he said.

The next scene showed Iris asking Barry if there's something more to their relationship in the other timeline than what he's telling her.

"We're something else to each other, aren't we?" she asked him.

The clip also showed Cisco (Carlos Valdes) heading the laboratory. By the looks of it, he's villainous and he isn't Barry's friend in the Flashpoint.

"The Flash" season 4 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
