Pokemon Go: Mystic gyms crashing, freezing - Here is what you should know

If reports are anything to go by, Mystic gyms are crashing and freezing.

A few Mystic-controlled gyms are remaining under Mystic control for an unspecified period of time because nobody can enter the Pokemon gym and fight.

Here is what you should know

When players try to enter blue gyms, the app will crash. As soon as players touch the arena, the Pokemon Go app will freeze or the Pokemon gym will begin to load and the arena will flash white or blue before it ultimately freezes.

It means that in several places, as soon as somebody from Team Mystic takes over a Pokemon gym, they will be able to keep it for an unspecified period of time till the bug is fixed. Reports claim that it is a problem with the app itself and not related to phone hardware.

If players observe that a Mystic-controlled gym remains at the same prestige, controlled by the same creature, for days, it may be affected by the bug.

It is important to know that the bug is not occurring at each Mystic controlled gym. One Redditor said that he had noticed the glitch at the Pokemon gym in Times Square.

According to a Redditor MidnightAeval, the Pokemon gym nearest to him had the same three blue players for 4 days, even though it normally changes teams every 20 minutes. Also, since past few days, the prestige has been stuck at 6000/8000.

Each time the player attempted to attack the gym, he received an error message. Other players reported same findings, with Mystic gyms being totally inaccessible and remaining on the same level and same prestige for many days.

According to a Redditor Spyderslayre, the bug happened after he defeated the last creature in a blue gym. The Pokemon gym showed an empty arena, and while the player could move, he could not leave the gym or could not do anything else.

Players will have to restart their app if Pokemon Go freezes while they are in a Mystic gym.

Meanwhile, various reports indicate that Pokemon Go Plus will release next week. The Pokémon Go Plus is a device that users can wore on their wrist or as a pin. It costs about $34.99 and is compatible with the  iOS as well as Android versions of the game, and is made to enable users to play Pokemon Go without having their phone out.
