Fans are stoked to hear that after 13 years, another “Jeepers Creepers” sequel would finally happen and it would be titled “Cathedral.”

It was recently confirmed that a third installment of "Jeepers Creepers" is about to happen. Although ever since the confirmation was released, not a lot of news and updates about the film's production surfaced, and now, fans are worried that the movie would no longer push through.

According to Ecumenical News, director Victor Salva gave out statements teasing about the story line of the upcoming "Jeepers Creepers" installment; however, in his statements, it seems like the director himself is unsure when the production for the film would commence.

During Salva's interview, he stated that "Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral" would circle around the creeper himself. According to the director, the upcoming film would focus on the creepers' past, and every unanswered questions for the past 16 years would be answered in the film. He even stated "We are bringing back the Creeper's truck, and will be addressing the big questions about the creeper: what it is, where it cane from and why it does that."

Meanwhile, according to Game N Guide, the reason behind the lack of updates for "Jeepers Creepers 3" is the fact that the production for the film was supposed to start already, but a lot of actors are warned by The Union of British Columbia urging them not to be a part of the film because of Salva's previous criminal record.

Although it has been 28 years ago already, it seems like Salva can never escape from his dark past. The director was accused and was criminalized back in 1988 because of pedophilia, and now that he has surfaced again and is about to start directing for "Jeepers Creepers 3," his past was again unraveled and now haunting the director.

Despite the controversies, producer Stan Spry assured fans that the movie is still a go, but the start of the production would be delayed. Spry was recently asked by a fan in his twitter account about the status of the film, and the producer replied saying "It is not cancelled. Producers ate working on the domestic distribution deal."

"Jeepers Creepers: Cathedral" is still listed in the upcoming movies that would be released in 2017, but because of the production's delay, it is still undetermined when the film is truly going to be released.
