The year 2016 marked a special period for the South Korean group Bigbang who recently celebrated its tenth year anniversary in the Korean music industry. G-Dragon, along with his fellow band members, has shared their thoughts about the group's rise to fame in a recent CNN Talk Asia interview.

The five-member South Korean group recently sat down for an interview with CNN Talk Asia to share some of their thoughts about their early years as a rookie band. Bigbang, comprised of members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, were candid as they recounted the time they spent preparing for their debut, according to a report posted on CNN's website.

Daesung described the band's training as harsh and shared some of the apprehensions he had during their pre-debut years. He also commented on how the training has given them the fundamental learnings that a performer or a band would need to become successful. The musician has even indicated that despite the band's difficult training phase, the harsh system also has its advantage.

Bigbang made its debut in the Korean entertainment industry in 2006. After ten years, the group remains to be one of the most popular South Korean groups. G-Dragon and his fellow band members have even stayed together as a band longer than the popular 1990's group NSync. Avid fans may recall that Justin Timberlake was a part of the said group.

The South Korean group has even earned more than Adam Levine's band Maroon 5, as indicated in the same report. Maroon 5, who has been lauded as one of Hollywood's highest paid all-male band, has earned $33.5 million while Bigbang's pre-tax earnings in 2015 reached $44 million.

G-Dragon also made mention of the group's training years. He stated during the CNN Talk Asia interview that he considered the said period as an investment rather than a sacrifice. The Bigbang leader also commented on the group member's chemistry with each other. "We are the happiest when us five are together, that kind of relationship is the reason that makes us last longer," he stated.

In other news, the South Korean group recently celebrated its tenth year anniversary with a concert titled "Bigbang10 the Concert: 0.To.10." The said concert held on Aug. 20 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium was attended by more than 65,000 fans, allkpop reported.
