"Scorpion" season 3 is set to premiere next month, but as early as now CBS has already dropped the official synopsis for episodes 1 and 2.
According to Cartermatt, episode 1 is fittingly called "Civil War" and it will Team Scorpion dealing with anonymous hackers whose motives to control the U.S. military aircraft and warships remain unknown. Since episode 1 will be filled with so much action, Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Paige (Katharine McPhee), as well as Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) would have to set their personal and romantic issues aside.
Meanwhile, episode 2, entitled, "More Civil War," will serve as a continuation of episode 1. "Just as Team Scorpion makes headway against the hackers controlling U.S. naval destroyers, they learn that a U.S. nuclear submarine also has been hacked and has a missile about to launch," the synopsis read.
In other news, "Scorpion" season 3 will premiere with a two-hour episode starting at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. The teaser for the upcoming episodes opened with Team Scorpion stressing over helping the U.S. military against the hackers. Walter also throws shade at Paige's new fling who she went out on a date with in the finale for season 2.
Another scene showed Walter seemingly very ready to tell Paige about his true feelings for her. "Paige, I wanted to tell you something. I know it's a big deal so it's time that I finally say it..." Walter told Paige. Unfortunately, the latter cut him off because a dangerous missile was coming right at them. Upon leaving the vicinity to protect themselves, Walter and Paige will fall on each other awkwardly.
"Scorpion" season 3, episode 1 will air on CBS on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. ET.
