The KBS historical series "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" has been one the South Korean dramas that posted double-digit viewership ratings. In a recent video message, cast members Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung both conveyed their appreciation for the viewers who supported their series.
The two South Korean stars shared their thoughts over the drama's success in a video message that KBS released in its social network service (SNS) on Sept. 14, Wednesday, All Kpop reported. In the video, Park and Kim both were in the traditional Korean attires that their respective characters wore in "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds." The "Reply 1988" actor portrays a Joseon dynasty crown prince while Kim plays a girl pretending to be a boy who became the crown prince's eunuch.
In the video message, Park thanked the loyal viewers of the KBS drama for their support. The series, also known as "Love in the Moonlight," has recently passed the 20 percent viewership rating mark. The actor indicated that the drama reached the said rating milestone given the viewers' avid interest. He also conveyed his gratitude for the love that fans have exhibited for the historical series.
On the other hand, Kim shared a holiday greeting for the drama's avid viewers. Many Koreans are set to celebrate Chuseok, a three-day national holiday to celebrate the autumn harvest festival. The actress also wished for the drama's viewers to have a good time with their family members during the said holiday. She even invited the fans' to watch the upcoming "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" special broadcast.
KBS has revealed on Sept. 13, Tuesday, that it will release a special broadcast to celebrate the drama's viewership rating milestone, Soompi reported. The South Korean network has prepared a two-part special that will feature a shortened version of the drama's first eight episodes. Some blooper videos and behind-the-scenes clips will also be included in the said special feature.
Apart from the special broadcast, episodes 1 to 8 of Park and Kim's historical drama will also be re-released. An upcoming marathon of the said episodes will be shown through the network's cable channel, KBS Drama.
The "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" special will be released on Sept. 16, Friday at 11:40 a.m. KST while the drama marathon will air on Sept. 18, Sunday, at 10 a.m. KST.
