'Game of Thrones' Season 7 brings back long lost character

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is sailing back to Westeros with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is most likely to witness the return of a long lost character. A recent report stated that Joe Dempsie, the actor who plays Gendry, the bastard son of King Robert Baratheon, has been spotted at the airport in Belfast, the place where the filming for the upcoming season is currently going on.

The actor was clicked at the airport by a fan who circulated the pic in social media. The spotting has sent "Game of Thrones" fans into a frenzy.

Since the actor has no other projects at the moment that would require his presence in the city, it is being highly speculated that Gendry is set to return in Season 7. The character was last seen in Season 3 when he was sent off in that infamous row boat by Davos in order to escape from Melisandre's bloody machinations.

Since viewers never saw Gendry reach a destination or found out what happened to him, his lingering absence was often questioned. The actor himself has recently addressed the lack of resolution to his character.

"If you hear anything, let me know," Express quoted the actor as saying. "I'm as in the dark as anyone else really."

However, it appears that Gendry will now be seen in Season 7, wherein he might even reunite with Arya Stark. He may also come across the recently exiled Melisandre, who is on her way south.

The filming for "Game of Thrones" Season 7 has already begun in Belfast due to which numerous cast members, including Maisie Williams, Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, are often being spotted across Northern Ireland. Apart from the usual cast members, spotting of another actor has created a stir among the fans.

Iain Glen, the actor who plays Jorah Mormont in the series, was spotted on a plane to Belfast with Brienne actress Gwendoline Christie, Winter Is Coming reported. Although the character was seen in Season 6 when he was told by Mother of Dragons (Emilia Clarke) to go and find the cure of Greyscale, the fans feared that he may not return in the upcoming season. However, the actor's spotting with another cast member has confirmed that Jorah's story is far from over yet.
