It was six years ago when the famous American novelist and screen writer, George R.R. Martin, released his fifth installment of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series. Since the sixth chapter of the series "The Winds of Winter" has been delayed, recent reports claim that it might be released on March next year.
According to HNGN, there are details spreading that "The Winds of Winter" is finally coming in March 2017. The rumor started when a listing on a giant online retail shop, Amazon France, revealed a possible release date for the long anticipated book.
The report noted that "The Winds of Winter" release listing instantly went viral and gave hope to those frustrated fans that have been waiting for "The Winds of Winter" to hit the bookshelves for years. However, it seems that the listing is a typographical mistake, because the publishers of Martin immediately released a statement to denounce the listing.
Martin's US publisher said that they are continuously supporting the author in his venture to write and finish "The Winds of Winter," and that whatever current online listing that provides information on the book's release date have no factual basis. The publishers also clarified that fans will certainly know if the book is ready for release.
On the other hand, the television adaptation of the book series, "Game of Thrones," that just recently ended its sixth season last June is getting a buzz, as it is reported to have started its production for its seventh installment.
According to Winter Is Coming, the production team was spotted in Corbet, Bandbridge, Ireland to film the Riverrun scenes. The report also noted that the production had to delay the filming of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 in order to wait for a snowy weather. It can be remembered that the finale episode showed that winter finally came.
Meanwhile, there is still no official confirmation in regards to the release date of "The Winds of Winter," and March 2017 might not be its publishing date.
