When Jackie Chan and Kamal Hasaan met and instantly built rapport, it was less surprising. One is Asia's stunt hero and the other is India's most daring actor. The two immediately got close, especially when they talked about broken bones.
The two actors are each other's fan. Hasaan praised Chan for being true to his Asian origin and retaining his Chinese accent despite having been to the West. On the other hand, Chan once expressed his admiration for the Indian actor when he found out that the latter played 10 roles in the 2008 Indian Tamil disaster movie, "Dasavathaaram," according to Yahoo.
Hasaan recently suffered multiple fractures and 33 broken bones, after he fell from his office' balcony on Eldams Road, Chennai. The serious injury halted the filming of his upcoming Indian comedy-adventure movie, "Sabash Naidu."
The Indian filmmaker underwent physiotherapy and started going to the gym in August to strengthen his leg. He was dependent on assistance when he started moving again. Two months after his serious fall, Hasaan spoke about his injury and even made fun of it via a blog post for his fans.
Hasaan creates the story and directs "Sabash Naidu." He will reprise his character Balram Naidu from "Dasavathaaram."
The filming of "Sabash Naidu" was set to resume in November and the next schedule is in the city of Vishakhapatnam. The movie is more than 50 percent completed. Hasaan gave the update of what his doctors said about him returning to work via a post on Twitter.
"Sabash Naidu" will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. It also stars Ramya Krishnan, Shruti Haasan, Saurabh Shukla and Hasaan's sister, Akshara who will help him with camera work. Maestro Ilayaraja takes care of the film's music.
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old Indian actor and film director was recently awarded the Chevalier Award. The French award is conferred to Hasaan as a recognition of his contribution to the arts, Bollywood Life reported.
