It's been months since "Pokemon Go" was released worldwide. While some claim to have caught them all, there's still a lot of mystery surrounding the existence of legendary Pokemon and their locations in the game. We've listed down helpful "Pokemon Go" tips and tricks on how to find these rare Pokemon.
Ditto
This is one of the Pokemon that's having players scratching their heads. One of Ditto's powers is that he can change his molecular structure to give him a different shape and form. There's a theory that Ditto is just hanging around and probably disguised as another Pokemon.
Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke, however, revealed a major detail about Ditto's existence in "Pokemon Go."
"I can't tell you how to find Ditto because that wouldn't be any fun when you did find him if I did," he told Tech Crunch. "But it will happen for you. I promise."
Basically what this means is that Ditto does exist in "Pokemon Go", perhaps in some way or form if not his original blob-like shape.
Mewtwo
Another sought after Pokemon is Mewtwo. Although it has popped up on sightings around the globe, the character was used in a promo video for "Pokemon Go." According to Comicbook, a data mine of the game revealed an image of Mewtwo as he would be seen in the Pokedex.
Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres
Much like Mewtwo, there are theories that these legendary birds are only available during organized community events and cannot be caught in the wild. However, there's another theory that they might be found in places that match their abilities.
This is similar to the system used for other Pokemon - water types are usually found in water bodies, etc. Applying this concept to the whereabouts of Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, it would make sense if they were found in their natural habitats.
For instance, Articuno would most likely be sighted in colder areas like Alaska or Iceland. For Zapdos, it would most likely be found in areas where there's high electrical activity such as Venezuela, where the world's largest lightning storms, the Catatumbo lightning, take place. Moltres, on the other hand, could be hiding near volcanoes or deserts.
