Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.

The latest details for "Overwatch" will feature possible mini-maps, suspension policy and an eSports tournament for the game soon.

Blizzard Entertainment made several comments regarding the disconnect suspension policies for "Overwatch" in its Competitive Mode season 2 as on player made a complaint about through the official forums stating that he got a ten minute gameplay suspension because of an unintentional disconnection and was worried that he might get permabanned for it.

Game director Jeff Kaplan was able to make a reply to the player and explained that although he sympathized with the suspended player, there is not much he could do about it. Currently, the game developers have no way of knowing if players disconnected accidentally or intentionally. As a result, a decision was implemented in which all disconnection will be treated the same way.

The suspension policy for "Overwatch" is primarily directed against "rage quitters", who automatically leave the game when losing a match and discourages players with poor connections to play competitive mode. Kaplan advised gamers to just play brawl or versus A.I. if they have poor connection, iTechPost reported.

Aside from the suspencion policy, Kaplan also address the possible mini-maps for "Overwatch" as he stated that they will not likely such maps within the game as he explained that having a smaller map means they could study the terrain easier. It was originally intended to "help newer players" actually becomes a very high skill player tool.

In other news, NVIDIA announced that they will hold an eSports tournament for Overwatch in India very soon.

The reason for it is that the Indian eSports community is relatively small and far from a stable market. Yet it is still showing enough signs of growth to convince NVIDIA to make serious investments. India’s first-person gaming scene typically focuses on "Counter-Strike" and "Call of Duty". NVIDIA’s push towards "Overwatch" could be further evidence of the game’s international appeal shaking up the eSports industry.

NVIDIA's consumer marketing head Vamsi Krishna stated that eSports have taken the world by storm and India is no exception and that the format attracts gamers as they get to showcase their skills, compete with each other, and gain recognition from their peer gaming community. The "Overwatch" tournament will consist of seven matches from Sept. 23 to Oct. 8, VG 24/7 reported.

"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
