The latest details for "Injustice 2" may feature a possible release date for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as a PC and mobile app versions soon.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the release date of NetherRealm Studios DC comic book fighting game "Injustice 2" as the sequel could launch within the first quarter of 2017. French game website Gameblog stated that "Injustice 2" will be released in March 2017, however, it is still a subject of debate fro gaming and comic book fans as NetherRealm Studio has not yet officially announced it release date since the game is still in development.
It is still a safe bet that gamers will likely get "Injustice 2" in the early months of 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One versions knowing that NetherRealm will always update new details for the video game fans.
Meanwhile, NetherRealm Studios teased that possibility of a PC and mobile app versions of "Injustice 2" as "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon made the announcement at this year's San Diego Comic Con event a few months back. However, there is no telling as to when will it will be released, either alongside the PS4 and Xbox One consoles or on a later date, WCCFTech reported.
As for the mobile app version of "Injustice 2", Boon tweeted a poll that asked fans if the want an updated version of the first "Injustice" game or a seperate new mobile app, with the majority wanting a new app by 71 percent.
"Injustice 2's" roster is so far, consist of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Other rumored DC characters joining the roster may include Black Canary, Starfire, Beast Boy, Swamp Thing, Darkseid, Jonah Hex, Red Hood, John Constantine, Captain Cold, King Shark, Dr. Manhattan and many more.
The first "Injustice" game showcased the environmental effect within stage, which gave the feel of a real superhero fight scene. Although its impressive, it was shown to be minimal, but now NetherRelam looks to add more features by placing chairs, tables, punching bags and other objects that a player can pick up and use in fighting an opponent.
The interaction between character and object is also highly specialized, with the environmental interaction based on the selected character's personality. NetherRealm added that they reworked the super meter of the "Injustice 2" so that it can be used as a countermeasure during battles, were gamers can use the super meter to do evasive moves and escape an enemy's combo early.
Lastly, NetherRealm Studios will add more items and special features in the loot system as players can obtain the powers and abilities of other DC characters once they win a battle. The characters can begin using their own abilities and powers throughout the game but if they win, they can acquire the enemies' abilities and special armors.
"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
