"Gears of War 4" protagonist J.D. Fenix fires multiple rounds at his enemies to repel an ambush.

The campaign of upcoming "Gears of War 4" will combine great storytelling, action, and gore. Those who want to purchase the latest Nvidia GPU cards can also get the video game for free for the PC platform.

Writer Scott Butterworth wrote on Gamespot of his experience interacting with the two-player cooperative story campaign of the video game. Game developer The Coalition has let the publication team play through a two-hour gameplay of the game's earliest section.

Butterworth remarked that the game opened not with just action, but it also had atmosphere. The scene was that the new protagonist J.D. Fenix and his companions Del Walker and Kait Diaz have approached a mansion. The journey towards the building had conversations between the three characters, which was comparable to the recently popular "Uncharted 4" character conversations.

The fourth iteration of the game franchise will continue its trend of having its story more personal and emotionally rich. It can be more focused on the story, but it is set up to have a deeper personal narrative and provides enough space for moments to breathe.

Butterworth thanked the developers to make the decision of having the same style of narration of Naughty Dog's video games. They made the heroes converse to each other before going in for another bloody battle.

The game now has a new, unknown threat known as the Swarm. Kait's mom and the rest of her colony disappeared after an ambush, and now COG leader Ginn is blaming J.D. for it. She sends her automated army to hunt this team down.

J.D turn to one person who could possibly help them out and that is J.D.'s father, Marcus Fenix. The father and son seemed to have an unspoken tension between them. Despite Marcus's reservations, he joins them in this battle from here on out.

Aside from dramatic story events, the action still has remained unchanged since the previous trilogy. It still has the slower paced movement and heavy focus on cover features. There are new features added in with the classic formula of gameplay so it is expected to give an interesting experience for the fans and the newbies.

The writer revealed the variety of new firearms that this upcoming video game, which were introduced in the demo. It has the Overkill, which is a four-barrel shotgun that fires both when players pull the trigger and releases a lot of pellets. The demo also had the classic guns like the Gnasher.

The demo also featured Marcus's two motorcycles from a barn, which started a chase sequence. Butterworth had to avoid obstacles while aiming and shooting off enemies at quick speeds. It also initiated a fight with an aircraft, which was a bomber jet during a multi-stage boss battle.

In other "Gears of War 4" news, Nvidia announced on its official website that it will bundle the video game together with the purchase of one of their latest video cards. Consumers who will purchase Nvidia GTX 1070 or 1080 will get the full-game download for the PC.
