Star Wars Battlefront is an upcoming action video game based on the Star Wars franchise developed by DICE and distributed by EA Games.

New details for "Star Wars Battlefront" will feature the "Death Star" DLC expansion along with its level cap increase, "Skirmish Mode" and many more.

Electronic Arts and DICE launched the new "Death Star" DLC expansion for "Star War Battlefront" this week for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms as gamer will engage the powerful space fortress as the Rebel Alliance or defend it as Stormtrooper for the Galactic Empire.

As reported before, the "Death Star" DLC will feature three Battle Station phases in "Star Wars Battlefront. The first is a return to the classic space combat as the Rebels alliance will lead the X-Wings and A-Wings against an Imperial Star Destroyer. If the Rebels manage to take the Star Destroyer down, they lead an assault force into the Death Star to retrieve R2D2 and his essential intelligence. The final phase heads to the Death Star trench, where Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader race towards a climatic conflict.

There are also two playable characters in the DLC as Chewbacca fights for the Alliance, while the bounty hunter Bossk will side with the Empire, Gamerant reported.

Meanwhile, the "Star Wars Battelfront" DLC will also contain numerous bug fixes, heroes and stage tweaks and gameplay improvements.

A new game mode called "Skirmish" that lets gamers play the Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron modes against bots by him/herself or with a friend online. Games can also play split-screen, but only on the console version. The is also a level increase as gamers can now level up to 90.

The new patch update also tweaks the partner system so that spawning checks happen at a one-second interval instead of two. This should make it less likely that players will be able to partner spawn when being close to an enemy before a fire fight has started.

update also fixes a problem where Rebel items could be used on the new Bespin maps even if players hadn't purchased them.

There are also changes in the time between rounds, which increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds, while if the gamer stay close to objectives their star cards will refresh faster.

The DLC update also makes a number of weapon balance changes, including DT-12 fire rate rising from 220 to 250, while the DLT-44's fire rate is boosted from 180 to 210.

In terms of the hero/villain characters, Darth Vader can now deflect Han Solo's Lucky Shot or Leia's Trooper Bane, but he will become stunned for a period. When using Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, enemies will now always die from lightsaber attacks, even if they are using the Bacta Bomb star card.

Boba Fett has been changed so that his flamethrower ability can be canceled. Players can do this by pressing the activation button again. In addition, his flamethrower damage distance has been boosted from 3.5 meters to 4.75 meters, Gamesradar reported.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is currently available in stores for the PS4, Xbox One and for the PC.
