New "Street Fighter 5" details will feature the release date of Urien and the "Vs CPU" option, as well as the possibility of an "Arcade Mode" in the sequel.
Capcom was in attendance during the Tokyo Game Show 2016 event as they announced the launch date of the latest DLC update for "Street Fighter 5" this week. The new update will contain the last DLC character Urien and the "Vs CPU" option in the game.
Urien is first introduced in "Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact" and is the Vice President of a terrorist group "Illuminati". He wants nothing more but to take over the organization from his older brother, Gill, and destroy Shadaloo. Urien wears a pinstriped suit and is often seen with a sinister smile when he hits opponents with his powerful limbs and violent combos. He uses his slow moving projectiles to pressure opponents and his signature Aegis Reflector allows him to control the pace of the match.
Urien's V-Skill is called "Metallic Aura", which allows him channel a powerful ki aura and once charged, his skin tone darkens and the next forward-propelling special move can temporarily absorb one attack.
Aegis Reflector is Urien's V-Trigger and it sees him open his arms and creates an energy barrier in front of his opponents. The barrier will reflect projectiles back at the opponent and the direction held when activating the V-Trigger determines where it appears. Opponents who touch the barrier without blocking will take damage and be knocked back. Urien can project two barriers when in full meter.
Urien's critical art is called "Dominate Crush", which allows him to channel arm with his ki energy and slams it on to the ground, striking his opponents with a huge shockwave
The "Vs CPU" option will be available to the sequel, as well as environmental KOs. Daily Targets will be much easier to earn money and season pass holders can also look forward to colors 3-10 and battle costumes for all confirmed DLC characters. For those without a pass, premium costumes will include colours 3-10. The new DLC update will launch on "Street Fighter 5" on Sept. 22, Capcom-unity reported.
In other news, it seems that the announcement of "Arcade Mode" in "Street Fighter 5" did not happen as previous speculations revealed that Capcom will reveal the new game mode during the TGS 2016 event.
Sadly, fans were a bit disappointed on the latter's appearance, but Capcom assured gaming fans that an "Arcade Mode" will be present for "Street Fighter 5" very soon, Gamespot reported.
"Street Fighter 5" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
