Several interesting details about the upcoming "The Sims 4" third expansion pack "City Living" have been revealed. Electronic Arts (EA) recently shared what players may expect from the pack's new penthouses.
The new world San Myshuno to be introduced in the upcoming "The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack will include new apartments and penthouses. In a statement posted on "The Sims" website, EA teased of the gameplay differences between the two locations.
Apart from the penthouse having a bigger area, living at the said location would represent a high-end lifestyle for Sim characters as compared to the cramped apartment units. Similar to residential houses in "The Sims 4" base game, players are free to build on penthouse floors provided it does not exceed the specified building space.
Gamers can add usual build items such as outdoor decorations, pools, plant boxes and lush foliage. New items such as a basketball court can also be placed on a penthouse floor to add an exhilarating physical activity for Sim characters.
Players can also add the new apartment or lot traits that EA teased in an earlier promotional trailer. These traits, that include a romantic aura trait, filthy trait and more, can influence a Sim character's life while staying in a penthouse or apartment.
EA has also confirmed that these new lot traits can be added to other locations. The same can be done for the various venues in the game's existing worlds such as Willow Creek, Oasis Springs or Newcrest.
Meanwhile, "Sims 4" game developer SimGuruEugi shared some interesting build mode details for the upcoming expansion pack. The fansite Sims Community collated the said developer's comments during a recent Q&A session where SimGuruEugi stated that penthouses are not limited to residential living.
The said location's venue type can be changed from a residential location to a bar, library and other categories. Gamers can choose to build a new nightclub on a penthouse or even a pool area for the community. However, the said floor's elevator area would be an item that players will not be able to move or delete.
"The Sims 4 City Living" has been scheduled for release on Nov. 3 on PC and MAC. Watch the game's trailer below:
