Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese manga series by Sui Ishida.

"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is said to have started its production.

According to reports, the deviation of the second season from the original manga series leaves Studio Pierrot with ample materials and basis to work on for "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, as the manga sequel is comprised of 100 chapters. Accordingly, the studio does not really have a choice not to follow the manga series as the studio garnered nothing more than criticisms for the second season.

Meanwhile, speculations as to where the first episode revolves includes that of Ken Kaneki having a new identity. Accordingly, if the manga sequel will religiously be followed then it means that the protagonist will survive having no memories at all in "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3.

Additionally, "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is also said to focus on Touka Kirishima entering into college. Her struggle to live at par with humans and her hatred at Ken Kaneki will further be explored.  Bob, the anime writer, said that they cannot promise not to have the darkest and psychologically disillusioning season, as gory details will not be censored. After all, there are already reports and speculations that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is supposed to be the bloodiest of all anime franchise following the storyline of the manga series.

Rumors have also been circulating that pushing forward the anime adaptation at this time would result to the hampering of its manga counterpart due to the number of chapters that have to be used in the anime adaptation.

At present, everything about "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is still nothing but a word of mouth and rumors, so fans could just rely on speculations and hope to hear the good news that the third installment of "Tokyo Ghoul" anime will be released sooner than expected.
