Niantic Labs is gearing for a new update in the hit mobile game, "Pokémon GO." The game developer recently unveiled information about a new update coded 0.39.0 for Android and 1.9.0 for iOS.
Avid fans will be excited to see the return of the Capture Location feature, an interesting part of the game that was present in the beginning but was quietly removed. Furthermore, gamers will have a chance to tap into additional capabilities of the Pokémon GO Plus.
The upcoming patch details indicate that the only innovations in the new update are the highly engaging way the Pokémon GO Plus wearable acts and the more user-friendly use of Incense. Incense is an in-game magnet that attracts Pokémon to the trainer's location and it is very suitable for single players.
When gamers rely on the potential of the Lure Module, things are somehow different. They can use Lure only at PokéStops, and as soon as they install it, they will have to wait for the Pokémon to come their way, according to Gamefaqs.
The main difference from Incense is that every player at the PokéStop can benefit from the Lure Module. As a result, gamers can expand their Pokémon capturing is they get into a PokéStop where a Lure Module was recently utilized.
Previously, the Pokémon GO Plus did not inform trainers about nearby critters that were lured by Incense use. The upcoming update notifies gamers when their deployed Incense attracts Pokémon, making the game a bit easier.
Rumors were rife that a lot of the functionality available in Pokémon GO Plus will make it into the Pokémon GO's companion app for Apple Watch. Android users are not left out since insiders are hinting at a similar companion coming to Android Wear.
The upcoming update will also have minor bug fixes. Of critical importance is the patching of an issue that made the game to freeze during the loading screen. In addition, a bug that caused ultra-low speeds during gym battles was resolved.
"Some exciting features and changes coming soon," Niantic Labs wrote on Pokémon GO official website.
The rollout for the rumored Pokémon GO update will happen soon. Initially, it was revealed that the usual delay between the release of the patch notes and the update rollout is a day or two. Here is a sneak peek for more information on the upcoming update:
