‘The Leftovers’ Season 3 spoilers: Jennifer Aniston joining HBO series? Patti Levin plot yet to wrap up?

HBO's "The Leftovers" Season 3 has a lot in store to offer to avid fans since Patti Levin's (Ann Dowd storyline is not yet over. Production is over, and therefore, the network is supposed to announce the release date for Season 3 soon.

Justin Theroux, who plays police Chief Kevin Garvey, recently posted on HBO's official Twitter account about what is happening on the show. According to the actor, filming is over for "The Leftovers" Season 3. He thanked the cast and crew for their commitment and promised aficionados that the upcoming installment will be a blast.

"The Leftovers" Season 3 shooting began back in June in Austin, where a still of a half-naked Theroux surfaced online, according to People. By July, the cast and crew moved to Australia for the remaining part of the production. Avid fans documented several set sightings in Melbourne.

There are reports that most of the cast members will return to reprise their roles in "The Leftovers" Season 3. Aficionados are optimistic that Dowd will still return for Season 3. Series creator Damon Lindelof said back in May via Vulture that viewers have seen finality with Patti Levin. This meant that the character would not be coming back for the third installment.

However, a recent post from Liv Tyler, who plays Meg Abbott, via Twitter revealed Dowd with the rest of the cast members. This triggered rumors that Patti will make a surprise appearance in a crucial storyline scheduled to happen in the show.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston is speculated to join her husband on the HBO show in a move to improve the ratings and save the series from being cancelled. It has been initially reported that HBO would be cancelling "The Leftovers" series after Season 3.

Aniston has been married to Theroux since 2015 and in case the "Friends" alum will indeed feature in the show, is would be worth looking forward to see the kind of plot she will have with the rest of the characters.
