South Korean boy band BIGBANG are prepping for the release of their new album. The currently untitled album is intended to be released later this year.

On Sept. 28, Wednesday, BIGBANG member Seungri held a live-broadcasting through Naver V Live +'s "Hello Seungri" channel. There, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter revealed that the group has been secretly recording for a new album.

Following the revelation, the group's management agency YG Entertainment confirmed the good news through a statement released to numerous local newsoutlet. The entertainment label then revealed that the new album is almost complete.

"Despite their hectic schedules, Big Bang members have been preparing for a new album," YG Entertainment said in a statement obtained by The Korea Herald. "Lately, they have been working at the YG studio every day to wrap up the final stages of the album."

The five-member group, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri, officially debuted on Aug. 19, 2006. To commemorate the group's 10th anniversary, BIGBANG has been doing different activities both locally and internationally in recent months.

The first one was a film titled "Big Bang Made," which follows the boy band through their Made World Tour 2015. It was then followed by a series of concerts, dubbed "0.TO.10," in Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan and Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea, respectively.

The "O.TO.10" concert, held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Aug. 20, was gone by more than 65,000 fans. BIG BANG wrapped up the nearly three-hour show with an intense performance of 2015's "Always" and "Bae Bae."

"Since we had a lot of activities overseas, we had worried that we would not be as popular in Korea," All Kpop quoted G-Dragon as saying before the 65,000 crowd. "But seeing you all now, we're still popular."

BIGBANG opened an art exhibition in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, South Korea on Aug. 05. The art exhibition, which showcases the historical backdrop of the boy band, will continue until Oct. 30.
