‘Geostorm’ movie update: Adepero Oduye to play the role of Adisa

American actress, director, and writer Adepero Oduye is playing the role of Adisa in the movie "Geostorm".

Not much was revealed in her role in ''Geostorm,'' however, since the movie is in post-production, one can just wait and watch the new advancements. However, the movie stars Gerard Butler as Jake, satellite designer who teams up with his estranged brother Max (Jim Sturgess). Andy Garcia, will play the role of President Palmer and Ed Harris will play the role of Secretary of State Dekkom.

Abbie Cornish will play the role of Agent Sarah and is the love interest of Max. Alexandra Lara will play the role of Ute Fassbinder who is the love interest of the character of Butler. Amr Waked will play the role of Dussette, Variety reported.

Dean Devlin is the director of this much-anticipated movie. The screenplay is also written by Devlin. Electric Entertainment and Skydance Productions are the producers of this big-budget movie.  

The initial release date of the movie was Mar. 25, but was later pushed on Oct. 21 by Warner Bros. Pictures, the producer and distributor of the film. Then it got the third release date for Jan. 13, 2017 and as per the latest updates, it is further pushed to Oct. 20, 2017. 

Meanwhile, Oduye starred in ''12 Years a Slave'' where she was nominated for ''Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture'' for her role as Eliza in that. Recently, her commendable performance was mentioned in an article on The New York Times which talked about the shift of viewpoints in the mainstream cinema. The article mentioned how people from other bloodlines other than the white-skinned actors too are getting recognized in Hollywood.
