'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' rumors: Sequel to feature 87 playable characters; PC requirements revealed, open beta test happening this month?

Bandai Namco announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox one and PC platforms.

New details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature the possible PC requirements, an open beta test this month and over 87 playable characters.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the total number playable characters that gamers can play in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as 68 characters have already revealed in the initial line-up. Some of these characters are different versions of Son Goku, Son Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, Frieza, Cooler, Cell and Maijin Buu.

There are also seven characters that are missing from the the first "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" game such as Omega Shenron, Nuova Shenron, Ice Shenron, Hercule, Rasberry, First Form Frieza, and Videl. Pre-order character Black Goku is also missing in the character line-up of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2", so if these 8 are added to the already 68 confirmed characters, they are 76 in total, however, there is a chance that the total number of characters in the roster could be 87 all in all, Saiyan Island reported.

For now, Bandai Namco has not yet made any statement on the total number of characters included in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2".

In other news, the PC requirements for the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" have been revealed as the official Steam website posted what PC users will need to play the game.

The minimum requirements include and Windows 7 OS or higher, a AMD Phenom II X4 945, 3.0GHz | Intel Core2 Quad Q6600, 2.4GHz, a MEM of 2 GB, a GeForce GT 650 | Radeon HD 657, 2 GB of RAM and DirectX 11.

The recommended requirements will include a Windows 10 OS, Intel Core i5-3470, 3.20GHz | AMD FX-6300, 3.5Ghz, a MEM of 4 GB, a GeForce GT 660 | Radeon HD 777, 2 GB of RAM and DirectX 11.

Lastly, Bandai Namco announced that the beta test for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will take place on Oct. 14-16 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, several days before its initial launch on the 25th. Gamers who are lucky to be included in the close beta test will get that chance on Oct. 8, Neurogadget reported.

New game modes are introduced in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" such as "Expert Mission", were in gamers will team-up to do a mission online. There will be six players in the game mode as they fight a gigantic NPC player such a great ape Vegeta or Bardock. The single-player mode features twice the number of quests than the first "Xenoverse" game, parallel quests from the original game, and a new system for rare item drops, which contain costumes and accessories for their characters.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will launch on Oct. 25 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
