“Certain Women” actress Kristen Steward went naked and had sex scenes in her forthcoming movie “Personal Shopper.” The “Twilight Saga” star said she was not apprehensive about being in her birthday suit although she said the scenes may appear “risqué” from the perspective of an outsider.

Kristen explained that as an actress, she had to take herself personally out of the scene. So while personally she was not ashamed of the nude scenes, “but within the context of the story there’s a lot of shame,” she said, quoted The Hollywood Gossip.

Her character, Maureen, “lives and breathes f-cking shame and guilt,” Kristen revealed. She added that even sex scenes could be empowering for actress. She explained, “I still want women’s bodies and the way they want to reveal them, it should be a precious thing, I don’t want to de-sexualize it in some way. But at the same time, I’m not weird about it.”

The film, shot in Paris and directed by a French filmmaker Olivier Assayas, is a “ghost story” with the fashion underworld in Paris as the background.

It is not the first time for Kristen to be nude in her scenes. In “On The Road” by Walter Salles, she had multiple sex scenes, noted CinemaBlend. “Personal Shopper” is scheduled for release on March 10, 2017.

Kristen walked the red carpet at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival to support “Personal Shopper” and “Café Society” by Woody Allen.
