Sony reveals their latest compact camera for their RX100 lineup, Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V.

The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V features a decent autofocus system. It also comes with a lot of great features like high-end lenses and a new LSI chip.

According to the official website of Sony, the camera manufacturer announced recently their new flagship model in their popular Cyber-shot RX100 series. This new model is the RX100 V with model number DSC-RX100M5.

The manufacturer said that this new camera brings in a new level of auto focus performance and speed to the compact camera market. It features a new Fast Hybrid AF system with the world's fastest AF capture at 0.05 seconds. It also has the world's highest number of AF points on sensor, which has 315 points covering approximately 65 percent of the frame.

According to another post on the official website of Sony, photographers who will use this camera can capture 20.1 MP high-resolution images at up to 24 frames per second. They can do high-speed continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking for up to 150 shots. It also reduces the blackout, which makes it easier to track moving subjects on EVF/LCD screen.

The Sony RX100 V is equipped with the new 1.0-type stacked Exmore RS CMOS sensor. It has the DRAM chip, a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-70 mm F1.8-2.8 large aperture lens. It also has the enhanced image processing system with a new front-end LSI chip.

The LSI chip maximizes the processing speed, expands the memory buffer, and optimizes the image quality of the shot. The camera also features a 4K video recording with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. This super slow motion records a video at up to 960 fps with extended recording time.

The camera has the addition of the AF-A mode, which allows it to automatically switch between continuous and single-shot-AF modes. Photographers can manually select if they want to use the continuous AF feature and phase detection AF areas to be displayed on screen, while framing a shot.

Vice president of digital imaging Neal Manowitz said on the official website of Sony that the new RX100 V features a level of power and performance that has never before been achieved in compact. He also said that it is another example of Sony going to another level compared to those that are currently in the market.
