iPad Mini 5 will have a more powerful and efficient battery system than iPad Mini 4.

Apple has not yet announced the iPad Mini 5 but many are already expecting that it could launch alongside the widely anticipated iPad Pro 2 2017.

The Cupertino-based tech giant still has no news regarding the new iPad Mini 5 or even the iPad Pro 2. All of the speculations point to a 2017 release considering that Apple has already missed the recent tech events and the said devices are still a no show.

Apple iPad Mini 5 Specs and Features

One of the most famous rumors is that the iPad Mini 5 will have the 3D Touch functionality for its screen, Mobile & Apps has learned. It could also run the iOS 10 or even the new iOS 11 which is expected to be released next year.

Some speculate that it would be powered by Apple's A9 chipset but others are expecting it to feature the new A10 chipset which is more powerful than its predecessor. The iPad Mini 5 is also expected to be available in three sizes: 9.7-inch, 10.1-inch and 12.9-inch.

Apple could also release an iPad Mini Pro which will be a 7.9-inch variant of the iPad Mini 5 not to be confused with the iPad Pro 2 2017 with a larger size, University Herald. The devices are also rumored to have quad speakers for louder sounds and a 12MP main camera with True Tone flash technology for better photos.

All of the devices are also expected to have the Smart Connector. Several sources are reporting that the devices will still have the standard 3.5mm headphone stereo jack while others seem to believe that Apple is continuing to ditch the said connector on all of its new devices.

Just like the iPhone 7, the iPad Mini 5 and the other variants could be available with 32 GB as the smallest variant. The largest one could be 128GB which is more than enough even for those who love to save movies and games.

Since there has been no announcement yet from Apple, the iPad Mini 5 is expected to be launched with the iPad Pro 2 in 2017. The iPad Mini Pro could also be unveiled next year if there are no more events from the company this year.
