The Android 7.1 Nougat OS is exclusively available on Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone and Google has already started android 7.0 Nougat roll out for Nexus devices. Since some of the smartphone manufacturers have confirmed the Android 7.0 Nougat roadmap for their devices, the software update roll out is expected to begin soon for smartphones from Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG, OnePlus and Xiaomi.
Google Nexus
Factor images of Android Nougat OS is available for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9 LTE and Wi/Fi variants, Nexus Player and Pixel C. However, OTA update is only available for 6P, 5X and 9 LTE. The Cherry Mobile G1 Android One smartphone has received Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update. Other Android One phones like General Mobile 4G are also going to get the new software soon.
Samsung
Since the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones have been recently found running on test version of Nougat OS, it seems both the S7 models are slated to get the update. The Android N update will bring along improved Always-on Display features found on Galaxy Note 7 and Grace UX.
The Note 7 is marred with battery explosion issues. Even though the smartphone was pegged to receive Android N by November, it seems its Android N update has been delayed. The Android N roll out for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 is expected to begin by the end of the year and continue until the first quarter of 2017, TheBitBag reported.
Sony
A leaked Sony Slovakia document has revealed the Android N upgrade for Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia 9X Performance will begin in this month. In November, the update will hit Xperia X and Xperia X Compact.
The Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact, and Z5 Premium are scheduled to get Android N in December. The Sony Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra will be upgraded to Nougat early next year.
HTC
HTC will be first releasing Android N to unlocked HTC 10 in Q4 of this year. It will be followed by Android N for unlocked HTC One M9 and One A9. Later, the update will also arrive for their carrier variants. The newly released HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro are also expected to get the Android Nougat upgrade
LG
LG V20 is the first non-Nexus smartphone to come loaded with Android Nougat OS. In South Korea, the beta version of Android Nougat has been released for LG G5. The South Korean has not confirmed on the devices that will get Nougat upgrade, but smartphones like LG G5, LG V10 and LG G4 are expected to receive the firmware update. The Android N would also include LG UX 5.0+ skin.
Motorola
Motorola devices such as Moto Z, Z Force, Z Force Droid, Z Play, Moto G4, G4 Plus, G4 Play, Moto X, X Pure Edition (2015), X Style, X Play, X Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2 and Nexus 6 are officially confirmed to get Android N upgrade.
The smartphones belonging to Moto Z and Moto G4 family to get Android N first. The Moto E (Gen 3) and Moto E3 Power budget phones are unlikely to get Android N upgrade.
Xiaomi
The Chinese firm is testing Android 7.0 Nougat flavored MIUI 9 update. Leaked information has revealed that MIUI 9 update would be coming to following devices Xiaomi Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5, Mi 4, Mi 4c, Mi 4i, Mi 4s, Mi Max, MI Max Prime, Mi Note Pro, MI Pad 2, Redmi Pro, Redmi Note 4, Note 3, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime, Redmi 3A, and Redmi 2 Prime are slated to get the software update, Tech Updates reported.
The roll out of Xiaomi Android 7.0 Nougat MIUI 9 update is expected to beginning at the end of this year. Xiaomi Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, MI 5 and the upcoming Mi Note 2 flagship are expected to get the update first.
OnePlus
Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus has teased Android 7.0 Nougat update for OnePlus 3. Hence, it is expected to the update. The Android N update will also arrive for OnePlus 2.
Android 7.1 Nougat
Android 7.1 Nougat that is currently available only Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones come with some exclusive features for these phones such as Google Assistant and round the clock tech support. After Android 7.0 Nougat, the 7.1 update will also hit other smartphones, but it won't include the exclusive features that Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are enjoying.
