The release date plans and other key details concerning the Nintendo NX remain wrapped in mystery but thanks to a new round of leaks the horizon seems to be cleating up on key specifics about the rumored hybrid game console. Product intro will likely happen before 2016 ends and possibly with four launch titles while price will start at $299.

According to WCCF Tech, there will be at least four game titles that Nintendo will unbox with the NX though the specific names were not mentioned. But Nintendo has earlier indicated that a new Zelda title will debut with the gaming machine and possibly a new game that is part of the Nintendo franchise characters.

Per the same report, it's a safe bet that Mario will on the NX in time for the rollout date that remains scheduled March 2017. But a month before, Nintendo intends to issue demo units to its retail partners.

"Console is currently set to launch with least 4 titles on deck ... Stores should be receiving demo units around February," WCCF Tech reported a supposed Nintendo selling partner as saying.

The same source also claimed that the retail box pricing for the NX has been set and the mark starts at $299.99. Inside the box will be the Nintendo NX and all stock accessories.

The NX will also hit stores worldwide in bundle option but the "contents of this bundle is currently unknown," the report said, adding that starting price for this is $399.99.

As for the product unveiling, there is a chance that the NX will be formally introduced soon with a Nintendo of Europe (NoE) representative providing a tease that "Nintendo will publicly share more information about NX within this year."

Following the intro, the same source added that the NX product development tools will be released at a later time, likely before the February 2017 release of demo units mentioned above.

The same NoE official also explained that the scarcity of details on the NX was because the product remains a work in progress. For instance, "the tools and development environment are rarely fully stable until very late.

The statement seems to further hint that for the most part, details on the Nintendo NX will remain in short supply at least until its formal announcement this 2016 and en route to the scheduled March 2017 release date.
