Google introduces their newest mobile network, Project Fi.

Google introduced new group plans for the Project Fi mobile network. The internet company is also offering discounts for their phones.

According to the official website of the internet company, the introduction of the new group plans will make it a bit easier for consumers to use their Project Fi mobile network. They can now add as many people their Project Fi plan as they would like with an additional cost of $15 per user. The rate for using the data still remains at $10 per one GB, and the company still refunds unused data.

Currently, Project Fi only works on the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and the newly revealed Pixel and Pixel XL. Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P is currently only available on the website. The Basics plan only costs $20 a month, which offers unlimited domestic talk and text, unlimited international texting, turning the phone as a wifi hotspot, and many more.

Project Fi was launched last year and only users who were invited for Google's Nexus phones were the ones who got to test it out. Starting in March, it has become widely available for others. It is a virtual network, which borrows the coverage of different United States phone providers to provide internet access for mobile users.

The biggest advantage of this network is its stripped-down pricing scheme that only charges the users of the data they will use. This is different compared to the other providers that charges overage fees to their users.

Another advantage of this group plan is the consumers' ability to add and remove members easily without activation fees right from the app. They can also monitor the data usage from each active member. Google will issue one bill at the end of each month to the manager.

The members can set their own personal notifications for data usage as an option. The manager of the account can set data allowances for each member. The manager can also terminate the service temporarily if a member is too abusive of the data usage.

Google is offering a promo to urge the potential new customers to sign up for Project Fi. They are offering good discounts to their customers for their Nexus Phones.

According to another post on the official website of the internet company, the Nexus 5X will get a $150 discount if it is purchased and activated through the Project Fi, while the Nexus 6P will get a $100 discount. The Pixel phones will still remain at full price.
