Friends accompany Super Junior Ryeowook as he enters boot camp for army training.

Super Junior's Kim Ryeowook has left for the army on Oct.11. He is the 10th member in his group to enlist and he is expected to complete his 2-year mandatory military service.

Some close friends and family members brought Kim to Jeungpyeong County, North Chungcheong Province for his 5-week training, prior to his official assignment in the army. SM Entertainment revealed that the 28-year-old main vocalist of Super Junior is going serve as an active duty soldier.

Fans were also spotted in the barracks and they were all there to send off their favorite artist. As a gesture, a few moments before entering the boot camp, Kim walked up to his fans and thanked them for seeing him off. Around 200 fans, a few even came from Japan and China, were at the vicinity to bid Kim goodbye, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Now that Kim has enlisted, it left Cho Kyu Hyun as the only Super Junior member who has not completed his military service yet. It is highly likely that Cho is also leaving for the army in the first quarter of 2017.

Initially, Kim was supposed to enlist in June but due to his schedule, he requested the authorities to delay his conscription for a few months. Apparently, the request was granted and Kim was able to finish all his work obligations before fulfilling his army duty.

Although not many friends accompanied Kim to the boot camp, fellow Super Junior members and colleagues showed support on his enlistment through posting messages and photos on social media. Mos of the posts was to wish the singer good health and to remind him to take care, Soompi reported.

Some of his celebrity friends who expressed support via social networking sites include Yesung, Donghae, Kangta, Leeteuk, VIXX's N and more. Meanwhile, while Kim still needs to complete his army duty for two years, other Super Junior members Lee Donghae, Choi Si Won, Sugmin, Shin Dong and Eunhyuk are expected to be discharged before this year ends.
