It has been two years since the CBS longest-running comedy show "How I Met Your Mother" left the air, and now, "HIWYM" Season 10's possible reboot or spinoff is making headlines, which is a good thing for its huge fan base.

Fans of the comedy-drama have high expectation to see the continuation of the series in "HIMYM" Season 10. Speculations that a new season or a spinoff have become stronger after actress Alyson Hannigan, who played Lily Aldrin in series, made remarks of a Marshall-Lily spin-off.

"In the last season [of HIMYM], I was like, 'We need to do a Marshall-Lily spin-off,'"Hannigan told Wet Paint recalling of her conversation with Jason Segel. "He said 10 years ... and then we can come back."

Hannigan and Segel have been working for nine years since the "HIMYM" debut. With proven onscreen chemistry and work rapport, she has been vocal with her wish to work with him for another project. Fans are now thinking that she is referring to "HIMYM" Season 10 or a spinoff that made fans more excited.

In the same interview, Hannigan teased that their next project together would be titled "Out by Lunch." She bragged that because they work so quick the title is appropriate because they are always finished by lunch.

As far as "HIMYM" Season 10 spinoff is concerned, the much-hyped CBS's long-running comedy sequel titled "How I Met Your Dad" was scrapped by CBS in 2014. CBS executive Nina Tassler had earlier announced that the project did not work out, and the show's producers can look for other studios that will pick up the show.

Tassler expressed her disappointment that time, who admitted that CBS, who has been an expert in retooling TV shows had tried to reach out to the producers of "HIMYM." Some of CBS' projects that is well known in this genre are "The Big Bang Theory," "Numb3rs" and "The McCarthys." She lamented that it seems the show's producers are not keen on redoing the pilot, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"HIMYM" is about Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) who was telling to his children on how he met their mother. It first aired in Sept. 2005. The series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas remained consistently tightlipped about "HIMYM" Season 10 reboot or a spinoff.
