Kang Ha Neul is a South Korean actor who starred in several TV dramas and musical stage plays.

Kang Ha Neul will soon appear on the big screens as a rookie cop eager to apprehend criminals. The "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actor will star alongside Park Seo Joon in the upcoming movie "Youth Policemen."

"Scarlet Heart Ryeo" cast member Kang will soon shed his Goryeo dynasty prince role to portray a young policeman in a new movie. Tentatively titled "Youth Policemen," the upcoming film will also serve as the actor's first movie project with the "She Was Pretty" actor Park.

The movie will feature the struggles and adventures of two aspiring policemen, to be played by Kang and Park, according to Korea Herald. Engrossed in learning all they could about police work at the Korean National Police University, Kang and Park's characters will be faced with a new challenge. A kidnapping case that they personally witnessed will push the two rookie cops to launch an investigation to catch the criminal.

"Youth Policemen" will mark Park's first time to play a lead role in a movie. The South Korean star previously appeared in films such as "The Beauty Inside" and "The Chronicles of Evil."

However, the actor has several successful dramas under his belt that included the 2015 series "She Was Pretty" and the tvN drama "Witch's Romance." He also starred in the hit MBC drama "Kill Me, Heal Me" with famous Korean celebrities Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum. The upcoming KBS series titled "Hwarang: The Beginning" will mark Park's TV drama comeback.

Meanwhile, Kang currently stars in the historical series "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" as the 8th prince Wang Wook. The actor's previous TV drama projects include "Misaeng" and "Heirs" with Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye and Kim Woo Bin.

In other news, despite its star-studded cast that includes Lee Joon Gi and Korean singer IU, "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" has yet to break through the 10 percent TV ratings milestone. Episode 14 posted nationwide ratings of 6.8 percent while episode 15 reached 8.2 percent, according to Nielsen Korea.
