BIGBANG and 2NE1

2NE1 comeback may no longer be in the cards for YG Entertainment as YG's biggest artist BIGBANG will reportedly drop a single next month.

Rumor has it that BIGBANG will release a new single next month as a teaser for a full album in 2017. Member Seungri teased that the group is working on a single, although the rest of the gang remained silent about any upcoming song or album.

However, some netizens think that the group will drop a single next month to stay relevant for the imminent Mnet Asian Music Awards that hailed many South Korean artists. Moreover, BIGBANG is reportedly countering BTS's and EXO's recent comebacks. Reports have cited that these groups to be the greatest rivals of YG's flagship male group.

Meanwhile, another reason for unlikely 2NE1 comeback is the solo projects of every member. CL is launching her career in the United States and is working with SIVA Group Entertainment for his first solo tour. The "Hello Bitches" Tour to begin at the end of October with her first stop in New York City.

Sandara Park, on the other hand, was recently spotted in the Philippines. Previous reports claimed that she was casted by a network in the Philippines to be a judge of a reality TV show. Dara was also casted in her first lead role in a movie, the remake of the international hit "Begin Again".

Other artists rumoured to make a comeback next month are Akdong Musician and BLACKPINK.
