Several weeks after a scary Paris robbery incident, an inconspicuous looking Kim Kardashian made her first Los Angeles appearance at a Beverly Hills restaurant. Her friend John Legend has also fired back against critics who slammed the reality star's security arrangements.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star has been known to wear revealing and flashy fashion ensembles during public appearances or trips. Recently, Kardashian opted for a more serious look when she dropped by a Beverly Hills restaurant with a female friend on Oct. 13, Thursday. The mother-of-two wore an oversized black sweater, dark colored cycling shorts and a pair of tennis shoes during the said trip.

A source told E! News that she only stayed at the said restaurant for 30 minutes and looked "very downcast and somber." Accompanied by the TV personality's bodyguard, Kardashian wore the sweater's hood over her head to avoid public scrutiny. Kanye West's wife wanted a low-key restaurant visit and kept her head down during the trip, according to the source.

It appears that the TV personality still has a long way to go before she can fully recover from her Paris robbery incident. Kardashian continues to experience flashbacks and has been suffering from insomnia, the source revealed.

Kardashian may have also developed some kind of paranoia that happens during moments when she is alone. To ensure the TV personality's safety and calm her fears of a potential attack or robbery incident, a dedicated and full-time bodyguard has been assigned to the reality star, according to the source.

Recently, Legend shared his thoughts on the reality star's scary robbery experience. In an interview with SiriusXM's "Sway in the Morning" program, the musician defended Kardashian and West from critics who slammed the Hollywood couple following the Paris incident.

The "All of Me" crooner highlighted the importance of escaping the terrifying situation alive. It would be best to give the robbers anything that they wanted to ensure a person's safety especially if the attackers were armed, according to Legend.

"You've got five armed guys coming, there's not really much you can do to stop that," the singer stated. "Just give them what they want and escape with your life."

Kardashian was held at gunpoint by armed robbers at a Paris hotel on Oct. 2, Sunday. The suspects took the reality star's diamond ring and other jewelry items worth $10 million.
