Kim Kardashian's terrifying Paris robbery incident shocked many people and unveiled a few lapses in the TV family's security procedures. The reality star's husband Kanye West is adamant at enforcing tighter measures to ensure his family's protection and may have to pay an exorbitant fee to make it happen.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star is currently dealing with the aftermath of her horrific Paris robbery incident that transpired on Oct. 2, Sunday. In light of the recent event, West and Kardashian increased their personal security to ensure the continued protection of their loved ones.
It appears that West hired around 30 guards to protect his family. The additional manpower and round-the-clock protection may cost the rapper and his reality star wife an estimated bill of $100,000 a day, according to E! News.
The estimated amount is based on the security fees that sources shared with the publication. A bodyguard typically charges around $70 to $80 an hour, while an armed guard comes in at a higher rate of $75 to $125 per hour. Given the Hollywood couple's jet-setter lifestyle, Kardashian and West would also have to pay a premium to have their security team travel with them.
However, Finest Execution Protection President Aaron Jackson told the same news outlet that the hourly rate may change depending on a client's security needs and threat level. As a public figure, Kardashian and West may have to pay a higher hourly fee of $150 for every guard in their security team.
Meanwhile, a source shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Kardashian's Paris robbery threw West "for a loop." The incident left the reality star's husband upset over what might have happened to Kardashian.
"Kanye is freaking out," the source stated. "There will be a lot of things that change now in terms of security, especially with the children."
Kardashian survived the Paris robbery physically unharmed and is safely back in New York with her family. The reality star was robbed of around $10 million worth of jewelry, including a diamond ring that West gave her.
